Its lightweight, easy to install, and can be purchased for a fraction of the price of a conventional cast-iron fireback. Its excellent for radiating heat back into the room and protecting the back firewall. Constructed of 14-ga., 304-alloy stainless steel, our Fireback weighs in at about one sixth the weight of a cast-iron fireback. That means it's easier to handle and less expensive to ship. Each Fireback has a gentle curve applied to its back. This pre-stresses the Fireback to minimize warping.
